Prostate Procedures

Vasectomy

Penile Plication

Peyronie’s disease, or a congenital penile curvature, is corrected through penile plication. It is a minimally invasive surgery that makes small incisions along the length of the penis and tightens the side opposite to the curvature using stitches which effectively help straighten the penis.

Robotic Prostate Surgery

Prostate cancer often demands the removal of the entire prostate gland to ensure the elimination of the cancerous cells. A common procedure for this surgery is robotic prostate surgery, where surgeons control robotic instruments passed through small keyhole incisions to remove the prostate and nearby tissues. The surgery takes less time, offers greater precision, and has much quicker recovery times when compared to conventional radical retropubic prostatectomy.

Transurethral Resection of The Prostate (TURP)

TURP is a surgical procedure that removes a part of the prostate to alleviate symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate that fails to respond to medication and needs surgical intervention to restore regular urinary function.

Hydrocele Testis Treatment

A hydrocele is a swelling in the scrotum caused by fluid collection around a testicle. It is common in newborns and goes away without treatment. In adults, hydrocele can occur due to an injury or health problems. It is usually not painful or harmful, but it requires surgery to be removed.

Laser Prostate Surgery (HoLEP)

A Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate, also called HoLEP, is a surgical procedure carried out using lasers to cut and remove the prostate tissue blocking urine flow due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. HoLEP offers a faster recovery and quicker symptomatic relief than traditional prostate surgery.

Varicocele Treatment

Varicoceles are enlarged veins inside the scrotum, often resulting in mild symptoms such as swelling or aching pain in the testicle. Sometimes, they may not cause any symptoms, but they can lead to infertility or other issues due to poor testicular development or low sperm production. Surgery can help alleviate the symptoms and improve fertility.
